CBS Award Recipients – January 2012

Degree of Honor Protective Association

Community Service Director Fran Lyon-Dugin accepted a Celebrate Business Success award at the Chamber’s January Membership Meeting, which was held at Town & Country Club. Degree of Honor Protective Association was founded in 1886 on the principle of helping others — not just with financial security, but by sponsoring charitable, cultural, social and educational activities that benefit individuals, communities and our nation.

Formerly known as the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of United Workmen, the organization’s membership was originally comprised of wives, daughters, mothers and sisters. Their purpose was to provide fellowship for the women. The organization’s mission has expanded over time, offering friendship, mutual help and insurance.
